JOB DESCRIPTION (Roles, Responsibilities, and Expectations)
Summary/Objective
Project Coordinators provide the information required in a timely fashion to support other departments at Decatur Mold.
Service Information Coordinator responsibilities.
Dispatch all truck drivers and coordinate Decatur Transportations needs with Sales and PE groups at Decatur Mold
Essential Functions

  1. Project Coordinator (Service)
    1. Create Projects
    2. Enter sales orders
    3. Send sales order acknowledgements
    4. Proofread purchase orders and quotes for relevant information and accuracy
    5. Generate and distribute work instructions
    6. Facilitate and approve invoicing
    7. Close jobs
    8. Perform shipments via LTL and parcel services
    9. Creating trucking requests for service jobs
    10. Some communication with purchasing or purchasing functions may be required
    11. Monitoring projects for cost, receipts, closing of work orders, and invoice payments

    1. Maintain the trucking schedule
    2. Maintain Incoming Service Work Spreadsheet
    3. Review routes and weights
    4. Review and Enter Hours into system
    5. Dispatch drivers accordingly while following HOS (Hours of Service) Laws
    6. Generate paperwork for truck drivers
    7. Communicating with various sales/PE/shop personnel to determine times that drivers need to be here to load the trucks.

Work Environment
This job is operated in a clerical office setting and manufacturing setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
Physical Demands
This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. There is also a need to walk in the manufacturing area to distribute information and shipping and receiving areas. This would require the ability to lift files, boxes up to 50 lbs, open filing cabinets and bend or stand as necessary.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Sunday as needed to dispatch drivers for Monday. On call rotation for emergency trucking requirements.

Required Education and Experience
  1. High School Diploma or Equivalent.

  1. Bachelor's Degree
  2. 5 Years of experience of hands on responsibility using ERP systems for customer orders and Invoicing
  3. Knowledge of applicable laws/regulations and management of transportation and logistics
