Cardiac Registered Nurse (RN)
Outpatient Cardiology Office | Chesapeake, VA
Full-Time | Monday–Friday | No Nights or Weekends

Our outpatient cardiology team is seeking a skilled, motivated Registered Nurse to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in a collaborative, fast-paced office setting.

What You’ll Do
As a Cardiac RN, you’ll provide both in-person and phone-based clinical care, supporting patients throughout their cardiac journey.
Direct Patient Care Includes:
  • Blood pressure follow-up visits
  • Medication reviews and education
  • Performing and reviewing EKGs
  • Assessing and supporting walk-in symptomatic patients
Clinical & Care Coordination Responsibilities:
  • Conduct incoming and outgoing clinical calls for triage and phone assessments
  • Review cardiac testing and lab results and communicate treatment plans per provider direction
  • Document care accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR)
  • Provide patient education and reinforce care plans
Cross-Training & Skill Expansion Opportunities:
  • Cardiac stress testing
  • Heart monitor application
  • Coumadin clinic support
  • Assisting ultrasound technicians with bubble studies and enhanced echocardiography imaging agents
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support clinic operations and patient care

What We’re Looking For
  • RN diploma, Associate’s degree, or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing
  • Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse license in the Commonwealth of Virginia
  • Current BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
  • Prior cardiac nursing experience strongly recommended
  • Comfortable using electronic medical records (EMR)
  • Strong organizational, critical thinking, and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and patient care skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with providers and clinical staff
