Description:
The position is for a Registered Nurse in a rehabilitation setting.
The unit consists of 24 beds and focuses on patients with cerebrovascular disease, traumatic brain injury, amputations, spinal cord injuries, deconditioning, and neurological diseases.
Each patient has an assigned care team that includes a physiatrist, nurse practitioner, nurse, and two therapists, along with a social worker.
The team collaborates to create and implement a plan for each patient.
Therapy sessions occur for three hours a day, Monday through Friday.
The average length of stay is around two weeks.
Patient diagnoses include spinal cord injury, traumatic brain injury, stroke, amputation, neuromuscular diseases, and severe deconditioning related to cardiac or respiratory events.
The nurse will be responsible for patient assessment, medication administration, and care management in an acute rehabilitation environment.
The nurse may be floated within scope to meet facility needs as required.
The position allows for accommodations regarding scheduling requests, which can be discussed during the interview.
All required documentation must be thorough and submitted prior to the start date to ensure compliance with facility policies.
