Job description

Job Title: Cable Assembler Solder Tech
Hours: Monday - Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm or until finished including weekends when needed.
Location: Dallas, TX 75211. I30 Between Westmoreland and Cockrell Hill.
Pay: $18/hr
***** Primary responsibility is build, assemble and repair Audio & Visual cables. You must have experience building and soldering wiring harnesses and reading cable diagrams. Additional responsibilities may include PCB Soldering.*****

Responsibilities
  • The Cable Assembler performs a variety of manufacturing and repair related tasks and processes in the design and repair cable and harness assemblies.
  • Must be able to obtain measurements from tools such as measuring tapes, scales.
  • Must have experience with and an ability to read wire tables and wire routing, wire diagrams, blueprints, schematics, color codes, measurements, mathematics, and both power and manual cable building tools.
  • Requires the ability to use pinning and stripping tools, make all types of connections, identify breakout positions, sleeve types, and braid requirements.
  • Ability to solder very small wire to terminals, connectors, and braid.
  • Familiar with and capable of conducting continuity and resistance testing, (C&R)
  • Additional responsibilities may include repair of LED PCB's.
  • Understanding of and demonstrated experience with IPC 620 Workmanship and Acceptability Criteria is a plus.
  • Perform a variety of tasks ranging from repetitive to non-repetitive production cable assemblies.
  • Well organized, ability to work alone, and basic computer skills are helpful.
  • Able to work in a production environment and maintain exceptional work quality.
  • Willing to assist in other areas of the production area when needed.
