Job Description
HPC Industrial, powered by Clean Harbors, is looking for a Health and Safety Supervisor in Monaca, PA to work at a client facility. The Health and Safety Supervisor inspects work areas and equipment to ensure compliance with company, state and federal safety policies and regulations; Oversees ongoing work sites to ensure personnel comply with company and client safety requirement along with promoting a positive safety culture; Emergency response, and site remediation while working in all types of weather conditions. Transitioning Military, this is a great opportunity to leverage your skills and training as you return to civilian life.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT: Industrial setting - Refinery, Petro-Chemical, Utilities, Pulp and Paper Mills, etc.

Responsibilities
  • Ensuring that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times;
  • Conduct health and safety inspections, audits and interventions, investigate, oversee, and observe safety conditions and manage safety permits and required paperwork;
  • Manage employee safety training programs and coordination;
  • JLA's (job loss analysis), JHA's (job hazard analysis) and manage safety equipment inspection, testing and supply;
  • Provide leadership and guidance on Clean Harbors specific processes and expectations;
  • Respond to emergencies and incidents and manage injury and accident follow-up and reporting;
  • Coach, manage and supervise teams to further enhance their safety responsibility and performance;
  • Establish relationships with client safety department;
  • Demonstrate proficiency at a wide variety of assignments and can direct personnel in operational procedures to complete assignments;
  • Inspects assigned work areas and equipment to identify compliance issues;
  • Documents safety inspections, citing dangerous areas/procedures/practices; Recommends corrective actions;
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications
  • 2 + years of progressively responsible and related experience in an industrial setting;
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Knowledge of the following is preferred: First Aid, Confined Space and Fall Protection, and DISA standards;
  • Valid Driver's License;
  • Must have a Federal Transportation Workers Identification Credential (TWIC);
  • Strong knowledge of regulations.
