Pay Range: $20.00 - $30.00
Listed wages are based on company-wide ranges. Actual earnings will vary based on factors such as: restaurant brand, experience, education, geography, applicable minimum wage, unit volume(s), hours worked & potential overtime pay.
Overview of Position:
A Factory Store General Manager is responsible for overall daily operations which includes, but are not limited to overseeing all aspects of production, sales, facilities management, ordering, processing and human resources. Essential functions are "Creating Magic Moments" for our guests while driving sales with a detailed plan to grow the business and managing costs. Additionally, the Factory store General Managers have the additional responsibility of producing product and managing a larger staff to accommodate the needs of tunnel oven stores in addition to the front retail location. The Factory Store General Manager is responsible for having a thorough understanding of production and maintaining a high level of quality products, managing proper production orders to ensure adequate product levels to prevent outages, minimize waste, control food cost, maintain high food quality standards in both the Factory Store as well as the Tunnel Oven store(s) they support.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Guest Service
  • Ensuring all products meet Krispy Kreme quality standards and in turn, guarantee customer satisfaction
  • Serving as a role model for customer-first behaviors according to company standards
  • Building a team of customer-focused employees through coaching and performance management
  • Handling difficult customer situations professionally
  • Handling any customer complaints/concerns
  • Responding to customer inquiries on a timely basis
  • Ensuring all products meet Krispy Kreme quality standards
  • Conduct store tours
  • Answer telephone in a timely manner and utilize Krispy Kreme greeting procedures
  • Create appropriate atmosphere including lighting, music and temperature levels

Supervisory
  • Supervising store operations
  • Review Krispy Kreme Audits and Mystery shops and make appropriate adjustments
  • Ensuring all of the store's physical property is in good condition
  • Conducting or delegating opening and closing responsibilities
  • Review information and communicate daily in Management log book

Sales
  • Directing and managing store sales efforts, which may include Hot Light times, store operating hours, retail sales, fundraising and suggestive selling
  • Achieving business plan objectives and profitability according to store operating plan and established financial goals

Production
  • Understanding and implementing procedures to maximize efficiencies and control variances in daily production of product and overall store performance
  • Make timely and accurate production calls to prevent outages and minimize waste
  • Review Fundraising orders and Tunnel Store orders daily
  • Research current industry trends, seasonal events, weather concerns and effect changes accordingly
  • Understanding the production process and maintaining a schedule that guarantees high quality and output
  • Understanding and implementing store quality control procedures
  • Inspecting, troubleshooting, and assessing any production or equipment problems

Safety and Sanitation
  • Demonstrating safety consciousness and promoting store safety, e.g. shoes, floor cones, MVR's, etc.
  • Complete safety certification on walkie stackie or forklift equipment
  • Maintaining a high level of store sanitation and cleanliness, e.g. cleaning schedules, training, etc.

Equipment
  • Overseeing proper upkeep of store facility and equipment

Personnel
  • Ensure proper food storage according to standard operating procedure and adhere to sanitation guidelines as prescribed by standard state, city and county code.
  • Perform and train proper Lock out/Tag out procedures
  • Directing and developing employees including: recruiting, interviewing, hiring, training, scheduling, safety education, supervising, dispute resolution and firing
  • Interview, hire, document, train and supervise all Team Members while maintaining appropriate staffing levels.
  • Build a team of customer-focused employees that foster teamwork
  • Demonstrate leadership in employee development
  • Communicating to store employees and enforcing all store policies, standards, and practices
  • Scheduling
  • Performance reviews with employees

Accounting
  • Ensuring maximum profitability and sales growth in all store functions
  • Managing income and expense budgets, including accounts payable/receivable, profit and loss, etc.
  • Completing required corporate reporting documentation, both financial and operational
  • Managing company resources responsibly including inventory control
  • Managing financial duties
  • Protecting company assets
  • Authorizing comps and voids for all Team members
  • Maintaining a resourceful budget and controlling all costs and expenses
  • Managing financial duties such as deposits, collecting accounts receivable and properly documenting all transactions
  • Payroll
  • Follow company cash handling procedures & policies
  • Accounting tasks such as counting and depositing revenues

Leadership
  • Communicating and modeling company standards and policies
  • Implementing efficiently and effectively directives from store, corporate, and divisional management
  • Developing and maintaining store organization to promote efficient operations
  • Interfacing with corporate office personnel
  • Meeting daily with manager's and/or shift supervisor's to coordinate and ensure production standards and schedules
  • Complete daily orders: dry goods, dairy, doughnut ingredients, beverages etc
  • Identify and communicate inventory and/or equipment's needs to other members of management team

Essential skills and Experience:
  • High school or GED required
  • Complete Krispy Kreme GM Development course
  • Must perform all related competencies outlined in the Krispy Kreme Shift Management & Store Management Training Workbooks
  • Experience with sales, management, production, and customer service
  • Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills
  • Pleasant disposition, sociable, accommodating nature, and enthusiasm
  • Self-motivation, creativity, and adaptability
  • Maintain a well-manicured appearance and persona that reflects the established image of the store
  • Comply with company dress code
  • Work a variable and flexible schedule which may include nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Meet personal schedule requirements punctually
  • Basic computer, telephone, and fax knowledge
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Must meet Krispy Kreme driving standards (three year clean driving)
  • Pass a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check

Nonessential skills and Experience:
  • Post Secondary Education strongly preferred
