ChristianaCare Wilmington Adult Medicine is seeking a professional, dependable, detail-oriented Medical Assistant II with strong communication, integrity, and solid technical and clinical skills.
ChristianaCare Wilmington Adult Medicine is located in Wilmington, Delaware. A fast-paced, mission-driven academic practice where you'll play a critical role in supporting both patient care and the next generation of providers. This opportunity is ideal for a highly adaptable, patient-focused Medical Assistant who thrives in a collaborative and evolving clinical environment. In this resident-supported setting, no two days are the same-you will partner with attending physicians, rotating residents, and interdisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality care to a diverse patient population. The role requires flexibility, strong communication skills, and the ability to confidently manage complexity, while supporting clinical flow, coordinating care, and ensuring accurate documentation across multiple providers.

You'll gain exposure to a wide range of patient needs, including complex medical and social factors, while building skills in a dynamic, team-oriented environment. Responsibilities include rooming patients, obtaining vitals, supporting patient education and follow-up, and adapting to changing schedules and priorities. Duties / Responsibilities:

The Medical Assistant I greets and supports patients virtually and in person, prepares them for visits, performs basic clinical tasks (e.g., testing, injections, EKGs), assists with exams, and maintains exam rooms and equipment. They manage EMR updates, patient communications, referrals, authorizations, and scheduling, while handling clerical duties, troubleshooting video visits, and supporting patient portal access.

Position Qualifications:

  • High School Graduate or GED required.

  • A graduate of a recognized Medical Assistant Program or hold current Medical Assistant Certification by a national organization accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA) or the American National Standards Institute (ANSI).

Hourly Pay Range: $19.10 - $27.69This pay rate/range represents ChristianaCare's good faith and reasonable estimate of compensation at the time of posting. The actual salary within this range offered to a successful candidate will depend on individual factors including without limitation skills, relevant experience, and qualifications as they relate to specific job requirements.
