Machine Operator
Machine Operator 2nd shift
3:00 pm - 11:30 pm Monday - Friday
Position Summary:
Responsible for ensuring quality parts are produced and/or assembled by conducting visual inspection and gage inspection of parts produced by injection molding machines while meeting efficiency requirements.
Essential Functions:
• Work effectively to meet or exceed productivity goals while maintaining high quality standards
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
• Lift and carry parts as needed off belts
• Sort finished products
• Examine and discard defective parts
• Package good parts per specs into boxes or specified packaging
• Fill out control plans according to product specifications
• Communicate suspected problems or changes in production/quality to the supervisor as needed
• Manage area housekeeping activities when requested
• Assist in waste disposal and recycling activities
Other Responsibilities:
• Work effectively with team members at all levels of the company as a positive, professional example
• Represent the company in a professional and ethical manner consistent with our mission statement
• Other duties as assigned
Physical Requirements:
• Must be able to stand, walk, lift, bend, stoop, etc. for long periods of time
• Able to lift 50 lbs.
Position Qualifications:
• Ability to work as part of a team and independently
• High School Diploma or General Educational Development preferred
• Previous manufacturing experience preferred
• Positive attitude
• Available for overtime based on customer demands
• Position reports to Shift Supervisor
