Injection Molding Process Technician

Overview

Are you an experienced injection molding professional looking to join a stable company where your technical expertise is valued? We're seeking a hands-on Process Technician to play a key role in optimizing production, improving processes, and mentoring fellow technicians. This is an excellent opportunity to make a direct impact on manufacturing performance while working with modern equipment and a collaborative team.


What You'll Do

  • Set up, start up, monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize plastic injection molding machines for maximum efficiency and quality.
  • Develop new molding processes while continuously improving existing processes to increase productivity and reduce scrap.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to Process Technicians and production personnel.
  • Create and maintain process documentation to ensure consistent, repeatable manufacturing standards.
  • Diagnose and resolve processing, material, tooling, and equipment issues to minimize downtime.
  • Partner with equipment and material vendors to troubleshoot and improve machine performance.
  • Monitor injection mold performance and recommend preventative maintenance or refurbishment based on tooling history, cycle counts, and process capability.
  • Champion safety, quality, environmental, and ergonomic initiatives throughout the production floor.

  • Associate's Degree or Technical School training preferred.
  • Strong hands-on experience with plastic injection molding processes, tooling, materials, equipment, and quality systems.
