Job description

Purpose:
The primary functions of a Setup Technician is to setup molds. Setup Technician will follow safety and setup procedures to ensure molds are safely set up.
Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for molding machine set up including ancillary equipment as related to the molding process such as screw, barrels, material dryers and thermolator.
  • Follows work orders, blueprints, and programming folders to set up plastic injection molding machines to produce quality parts
  • Inspect molds after set-up is completed for the following: water leaks, loose water hose clamps, or any mechanical malfunction of the mold that may prevent a proper production run.
  • Removes molds at the completion of the run and prepares for storage or repair
  • Responsible for proper handling and care of all materials, molds and tooling
  • Analyze part defects and make appropriate process adjustments as needed while following validated parameters as well as following good manufacturing practices
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area and report any unsafe conditions to supervisor
  • Operates machines and production equipment safely and in accordance with instructions
  • Perform any other assignments given by Production Manager.

Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
  • High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
  • Knowledge of an injection molding plant.
  • Experience in setup molds
  • Basic math skills and basic understanding of the English language.

Physical Requirements:
  • Sit, stand, and walk for long period of time.
  • Lift up to 25 pounds and good hand-eye coordination.
  • Must be able to talk, Listen, and speak clearly.

Training Provided:
  • Safety Trainings.
  • IQMS & Internet (if needed).
  • Trained on preventative maintenance requirements.
  • Trained on the proper use of company tools and their storage.
  • Trained on Lockout Tagout Procedure.

Shift : 2nd Shift - 2pm till 10:30pm
Pay Rate : $25 Hourly
