Job description

Job Summary:

A tool maker with mold shop experience is responsible for creating and maintaining molds used in manufacturing processes.


Responsibilities:

  • Work with Tool Room Manager to ensure the quality new mold construction. • Assist in the manufacture and maintenance of injection molds.
  • Assist the Tool Room Manager in the preparation of tool quotes.
  • Assembles mold(s) according to Group Leader’s specifications and line up
  • Fits and functions components
  • Spotting of components when necessary to ensure fit according to close tolerance specifications
  • Installs, fits and tests hot and cold runner systems
  • Disassembles molds
  • Maintains a clean and organized workspace
  • Conducts all work in a safe manner following all safe operating procedures, policies and work procedures set out by Integrity Tennessee, ISO and the OSHA
  • Operates overhead crane and forklift to relocate molds
  • Attention to detail (meticulous and precise)
  • Ability to follow direction with minimal clarification or supervision
  • Owns a hand-held grinding tool, variety of hand tools and measuring instruments
  • Work required hours as per the current department workload
  • Safety training

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • 5 years of experience minimum
  • Must be competent in the operations of all common mold making machinery, equipment and measuring devices.


Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift or move materials with weight ranging from 1-75lbs.
  • Standing for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to climb ladders and other pieces of equipment.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Any other duties as set out by management
