A little about the position: Mold Maintenance Technician

Job Summary:

The Mold Technician plays a critical role in ensuring that molds remain production ready, structurally sound, and capable of producing high-quality fiberglass shells. Mold Technicians maintain the molds in production ready status. They repair molds and alter molds to fit production needs. In some facilities, Mold Technicians also participate in building new molds from scratch, supporting product development and fleet expansion ready, structurally sound, and capable of producing high-quality fiberglass shells.

·         Perform cosmetic and structural repairs on fiberglass molds, progressing from small surface repair to large refurbishments

·         Perform routine mold upkeep

·         Cleaning, waxing, buffing and prepping fiberglass molds to maintain smooth, defect-free surfaces and ensure proper release during production.

·         Maintain Mold floor textures and gelcoat surfaces to preserve finish quality and prevent imperfections in produced pool shells. 

·         Conduct regular inspections to identify cracks, delamination, wear, warping, or structural degradation.

What You Bring to the Table: (Qualifications)

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • Ability to understand written and verbal instructions.
  • Experience working with power tools and pneumatic tools preferred.
  • Forklift experience preferred.

Autobody or fiberglass experience is preferred.
