Job description


Job Title: Mohs Surgeon - Dermatology Practice (Lynchburg, VA)
Overview:
Join a leading dermatology practice seeking an experienced Mohs Surgeon to lead high-volume micrographic surgeries in Lynchburg, Virginia. This is an exceptional opportunity to become part of a stable, physician-led organization renowned for low provider turnover and a strong clinical culture. With increasing patient demand, this role offers growth potential, clinical autonomy, and the chance to make a meaningful impact in a vibrant community.
Required Skills:
  • MD or DO with completion of an ACGME or AOA accredited dermatology residency
  • Completion of an ACGME-accredited Micrographic Surgery and Dermatologic Oncology fellowship (or equivalent Mohs training)
  • Board certified or board eligible through the American Board of Dermatology (ABD) or AOBD
  • Active or eligible for Virginia medical licensure
  • Strong surgical skills in Mohs micrographic surgery
  • Excellent clinical judgment and patient care skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a high-volume, team-supported setting

Preferred Education and Experience:
  • Fellowship-trained Mohs surgeon with prior experience in a high-volume practice
  • Proven track record of building strong referral relationships
  • Experience in a clinical environment that emphasizes autonomy and collaborative care

Other Requirements:
  • Valid Virginia medical license or eligibility to obtain one
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule, 4 to 5 days per week (full-time preferred; part-time considered)
  • Ability to start on a flexible schedule
  • No additional licensure or certifications beyond medical license and fellowship training required
