What We Need:   

This position will be responsible for performing reactive and preventative maintenance tasks on precision manufacturing equipment and machinery.

What You'll Do: 

  • Services, repairs, adjusts and tests various machinery, devices and equipment related to the manufacturing process
  • Utilizes detailed knowledge of production equipment processes and operations to aid in machine troubleshooting and operation support
  • Collaborates on preventative maintenance planning and executes on tasks with limited supervision
  • Identifies warning signs of impending equipment failure to assist with parts ordering
  • Monitors and reacts to maintenance needs, often indpendently
  • Utilizes various mechanical and electrical test equipment, tools, and necessary paper/digital resources to complete assigned tasks
  • Complies with all company safety rules and procedures. Identifies, advises and implements safety improvements.
  • Plans, implements, and documents process improvement measures.
  • Attend any job-related training deemed necessary by supervision
  • Follow all established standard operating procedures
  • Perform general housekeeping duties as necessary
  • Perform other tasks assigned by management

What You Have:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Associate's degree preferred
  • 5+ years experience in maintenance of a manufacturing environment preferred, experience with automated production equipment a plus
  • Experience in installation and maintenance of various implements, such as pumps, bearings, pulleys, belts, chains, gearboxes, bushings, etc.

What You're Good At:

  • Knowledge of industrial control systems
  • Welding and fabrication skills related to the modification of existing equipment
  • Intermediate experience with PLC's, VFD's and computers
  • Ability to work with automation, production, and computer systems
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Ability to read and utilize mechanical and electrical drawings/diagrams
  • Effective communication skills to convey necessary information to fellow technicians, line operators, the Automation Team, managers, and plant leadership
  • Ability to work both independently and within a team setting, including communication with various other Departments via radio, phone, and in-person conversations.

 What Else?

  • This position requires the team member to work with machinery in an environment where there may be regular exposure to noise from machinery, variable temperatures, and additional department-specific variables. Appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) will be required, and may include hearing protection, safety shoes, high-visibility clothing, and eye protection.
  • Other working conditions may include working 12 hour shifts and a fixed shift rotation, including holidays.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.; walking, bending, squatting, climbing ladders and stairs are required.
