Summary of Role:
Improve Silicon Photonic Device performance and manufacturability. Perform data mining, data analysis. The Role will also include device test structure simulation, design and coordinating electro/optical test.
Essential Responsibilities:
  • Improve the performance and manufacturability. Perform data mining, data analysis, and macro design for experiments.
  • Work on open-source software enablement and development projects in the silicon photonics area to improve the capability of device/macro design and simulation.
  • Complete ownership of a technology module, accountable for prioritization of projects based on business need, the delegation of tasks to extended module team, lead for definition of improvement experiments and hardware disposition.
  • Sustain and improve manufacturing technologies by ensuring product quality, reducing defectivity, improving process stability (Cp/Cpk), and increasing processing efficiency.
  • Detect line issues through data analysis and drive appropriate containment and resolution in a timely manner in order to limit the impact to yield and delivery.
  • Collaborate with the device, process modules in driving development work for new production technologies.
  • Drive cost reductions through expense elimination, line and test yield improvement, and efficiency improvements. Position requires up to 10% domestic travels.

Other Responsibilities:
  • Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements, and programs.

Required Qualifications:
  • Education - Master's Degree or foreign equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or a related field of study.
  • Experience - 2 years of progressively responsible post-baccalaureate experience in job offered or related role. Requires 2 years of experience in: (1) Silicon photonics, electrical engineering/computer engineering or device physics background and one (1) year of experience in: (1) Coding capability (Python, Rcode, etc.), (2) Simulation tool skills (Lumerical, Cadence), (3) PDK to tapeout flow experience for customer designs, (4) Macro design capability, (5) SKILL language experience in Cadence to generate pcells for PDKs, (6) HFSS (high freq structure simulator) experience. Position requires up to 10% domestic travel.

Expected Salary Range
$85,000.00 - $146,000.00
