Job Title: Java/Python Software Engineer Contract Length:18+ Month contract Some on site work Location: ISELIN, NJ 08830/ Charlotte, NC 28282 Ref# 246041 This role supports large-scale engineering initiatives focused on data center migration and fraud detection systems. The engineer will work on backend-heavy full stack development, contributing to AI-driven solutions and rules-based platforms. The position requires strong hands-on coding ability, independent ownership of modules, and collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders

Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and implement scalable software solutions using Java and/or Python Write production-level code daily (approximately 80% hands-on development) Analyze business and technical requirements and translate them into engineering solutions Collaborate with stakeholders to define and refine system functionality Support migration efforts related to data center exit initiatives Contribute to fraud detection and AI-driven engineering use cases Utilize internal AI tools to enhance development productivity and solution quality Own and deliver medium-sized modules independently while guiding supporting contributors Troubleshoot and resolve issues, including participation in occasional production incident support Required Qualifications 8+ years of software engineering experience Strong experience with: Java (full stack with backend focus) Python Hands-on experience with containerization technologies: Docker Kubernetes Proven ability to write and deliver production-level code Experience working in complex, large-scale engineering environments Ability to work independently and take ownership of deliverables Preferred Qualifications Experience with cloud platforms (GCP preferred) MongoDB experience Cloud certifications (GCP, AWS, or equivalent) Strong expertise in either Java or Python (deep specialization acceptable) Additional Notes Role is highly hands-on; candidates must demonstrate real coding experience (not theoretical) No people management responsibilities Engineers should be capable of mentoring or guiding small groups when needed Occasional after-hours support may be required for production incidents
