Job Description

Ralliant is seeking an experienced Platform Engineer to design, build, and operate scalable, automated infrastructure platforms supporting both commercial and CMMC Level 2 environments. This role will focus on infrastructure as code, CI/CD pipelines, and platform services that enable engineering teams to deploy and operate efficiently. This role is part of a broader platform transformation focused on standardization, automation, and secure-by-design infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform or similar tools
  • Design and operate CI/CD pipelines supporting infrastructure and platform services
  • Implement and maintain Policy as Code (PaC) to enforce security and compliance standards
  • Design and support multi-account cloud environments and landing zones
  • Contribute to the development of reusable platform modules, standards, and reference architectures
  • Automate provisioning, configuration, and lifecycle management of infrastructure
  • Collaborate with Security and Architecture teams to enforce CMMC-aligned controls
  • Improve platform reliability through automation, standardization, and self-service capabilities
  • Support integration of identity, logging, and monitoring services across environments

Required Qualifications:

  • 4+ years in cloud engineering, DevOps, or platform engineering roles
  • Strong experience with AWS and cloud-native services
  • Experience working in a DevOps or platform engineering operating model
  • Hands-on experience with Terraform or similar IaC tools
  • Experience building CI/CD pipelines (Git-based workflows preferred)
  • Understanding of infrastructure security principles and experience working within regulated or compliance-driven environments
  • Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash, or similar)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience integrating cloud automation with ServiceNow
  • Experience in regulated environments (CMMC, ITAR, SOC2, etc.)
  • FinOps awareness and cost optimization design experience
  • Multi-cloud design experience (AWS, Azure, OCI)
  • Familiarity with container platforms and Kubernetes
  • Experience implementing observability practices, including logging, monitoring, and alerting for distributed systems
  • Strong ownership mindset with a bias toward automation and continuous improvement
