Raytheon Engineering designs, produces, and builds new technologies and enhances existing capabilities to solve our customer's most complex challenges.  The Apertures and Radio Frequency Department is a team of engineers responsible for electrical design and development of RF products within Raytheon.  Our charter is to provide expertise in sub-systems engineering, RF and radome design, digital apertures, antenna ranges and module test. 

What You Will Do

  • Lead a multi-disciplined project team in Radio Frequency (RF) design and development activities.
  • Problem solving production and test issues
  • Manage design and production budget and program schedule
  • Prepare and present technical issues for program leadership and customer briefings
  • Work with a highly motivated, multi-disciplined, and experienced team of engineers and factory personnel

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 10 years of prior relevant experience to include any combination of the following:
    • Design or test experience in one or more of the following:
      • Systems engineering
      • Arrayed antennas
      • Monolithic microwave integrated circuits
      • Radio Frequency (RF) modules
      • Beam forming architectures
      • Power and Thermal
      • Beam control firmware/software
  • Experience with Active Electronically Scanned Arrays (AESAs)
  • Experience with leading multi-disciplinary project teams through structured systems engineering, integration, and test activities and detailed planning to achieve on-time/on-schedule execution.

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Experience creating and presenting technical information to leadership and peers
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience interfacing with technical engineers, production personnel and support personnel.
  • Presenting to upper-level management.
  • Providing leadership to drive tasks to completion to support budget and schedule
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project)

The salary range for this role is 132,400 USD - 251,600 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills. Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance. This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
