In this Summer/Fall Co-Op opportunity at Skyworks, you will learn and participate in developing advanced, state-of-the-art RF front-end modules, working with seasoned engineering professionals and collaborating with subject matter experts within Skyworks. Not only will you get to know how things work in the semiconductor industry, but you will also accumulate advanced technical knowledge and skills. This opportunity will also allow you to explore full-time job opportunities at Skyworks. Responsibilities

In this role, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:

  • Working with experienced engineers to design/develop multi-chip modules
  • Designing semi-lumped RF matching networks, integrated passive devices, couplers, etc.
  • Running simulations using design tools such as Ansys HFSS, Keysight ADS, etc.
  • Participating and presenting in design reviews
  • Performing lab testing using standard RF test equipment
  • Troubleshooting and resolving design or technical issues
  • Collaborating with other engineers and technicians

Required Experience and Skills

  • Currently enrolled in an Electrical Engineering (or related) MS or PhD program
  • Commitment to work onsite in Irvine June/July - December 2027
  • Strong desire to learn, grow and make impact
  • Strong career interest in RF/microwave engineering and electromagnetics
  • Willing to share knowledge and collaborate with others
  • Must have experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook

Desired Experience and Skills

  • Experience with Ansys HFSS, Keysight ADS is highly preferred
  • Hands-on experience in a lab using a network analyzer and other RF instruments is highly preferred
  • Knowledge of PA design is a plus

The typical pay range for an Engineering intern across the U.S. is currently USD $26.00 - $47.50 per hour and for a Non-Engineering intern across the U.S. is currently USD $22.50 - $42.00 per hour. Starting pay will depend on level of education, the ultimate job duties and requirements, and work location. Skyworks has different pay ranges for different work locations in the U.S.
