Job description

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce's client, a growing, established engineering technology company in the Plano, TX area, is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer with strong experience in power system design. This is an exclusive search working directly with the hiring manager. The company offers a competitive compensation package including base salary and annual bonus, with a hybrid remote work environment.
Role Overview:
This is a key leadership role responsible for the mechanical design of E Houses and electrical skids. The Senior Mechanical Engineer will lead mechanical design efforts, collaborate closely with proposal engineering, and lead a small design team.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead mechanical design for modular power systems, including E Houses and electrical skids
* Manage and mentor a small team (2-3 engineers/designers)
* Partner with proposal engineering to support technical scope and quoting
* Coordinate with third party design partners as needed
* Oversee mechanical design from concept through execution
REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar field (or equivalent work experience)
* At least 6-8+ years of mechanical design experience including some with modular power systems, industrial buildings, and/or skid mounted equipment
* Proficiency with SolidWorks or similar CAD tools
* Ownership of mechanical scope for at least two of the following: E Houses/modular electrical buildings or MV/LV skids; Power Distribution Centers (PDCs); UPS plants; Data center power modules
Preferred Qualifications:
* PE license or progress toward licensure
* Experience with modular data center power platforms and redundancy/uptime design concepts
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
