Job description

NAME OF EMPLOYER: Comfort Systems USA (Texas), L.P.
POSITION TITLE: Modular Productivity Engineer
POSITION LOCATION: 9753 Katy Freeway, Suite 700, Houston, TX 77024
Hybrid (in office/remote) position.
TRAVEL: 50% domestic travel required.
HOURS: Full Time/40 hours
JOB DUTIES: Design and develop custom software tools to streamline modular manufacturing virtual design workflows. Collaborate with virtual design professionals to identify needs and integrate feedback into tool enhancements. Ensure compatibility and integration of new tools with existing virtual design platforms. Seek opportunities to innovate, automate and improve modular solutions. Work with Building Information Modeling leads to understand gaps where tools and innovative approaches can advance technical offering from a design and engineering perspective. Develop and conduct training sessions for virtual design professionals on new tools and best practices. Provide expert support to design professionals on volumetric modular projects. Assist in troubleshooting and resolving design challenges specific to modular manufacturing. Assist volumetric manufacturing operating companies with model-based manufacturing processes, increase production, and leverage data for production, procurement, tracking and data analysis. Consolidate feedback from leaders at multiple operating companies to recommend and co-develop a coherent catalog of repeatable products, subassemblies and components that may serve multiple sites, projects, and even functional use cases.
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or related field of study and 3 years of experience in manufacturing engineering. Employer will accept pre-Bachelor's experience.
Applicants must have demonstrated experience with:
1) 3 years of experience with Autodesk Construction Cloud and BIM 360 cloud based construction management systems.
2) 3 years of experience with Revit.
3) 3 years of experience with Navisworks.
4) 1 year of experience with Model Coordination in ACC and BIM 360.
5) 1 year of experience with Power Bl and Power Query.
6) Implementing a 1 year plan based on people, processes and technology.
Any and all experience may be gained concurrently.
