Do you take pride in fixing problems the right way the first time? We're looking for an experienced Service Technician to join our team supporting manufactured and modular homes after installation.
In this role, you'll troubleshoot and repair a variety of residential systemsโincluding carpentry, drywall, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, doors, windows, cabinets, and finish workโwhile providing outstanding customer service and ensuring every homeowner receives a quality finished product. You must have the ability to work on roofs, in attics, and in crawl spaces of homes.

We're looking for someone who has:
- 5+ years of construction or maintenance experience (or equivalent military, technical, or apprenticeship training)
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Experience with residential construction trades
- A valid driver's license and good driving record
- Pride in quality workmanship and customer service
- A clear drug screening and background check

Service Technician โ Construction amp; Warranty Support
Position Summary
The Service Technician supports post-installation service, warranty, and repair needs for manufactured and modular homes. This role performs skilled maintenance and corrective work across multiple building systems to ensure homes meet quality, safety, and customer satisfaction standards after installation and occupancy.
The Service Technician works closely with Construction, Set-Up, and Finish teams to address service items efficiently while maintaining accurate documentation and professional customer communication.
Classification
- Hourly, Non-Exempt
- Pay Range: starting at $23+/hour based on skills and experience, plus incentives
Supervisory Responsibilities
Core Responsibilities (All Service Technicians)
- Perform skilled repair and maintenance work related to residential construction and home systems
- Diagnose service and warranty issues and determine appropriate corrective actions
- Complete work orders accurately and within expected timelines
- Maintain clear documentation of work performed, materials used, and outcomes
- Communicate professionally with customers regarding service issues while maintaining confidentiality
- Follow all safety procedures and wear required protective equipment
- Maintain clean and organized work areas in occupied and unoccupied homes
- Coordinate service activities with the Service Manager and Construction leadership
- Perform other duties as assigned to support service and construction operations
Trade-Specific Service Responsibilities
Service work may include, but is not limited to:
- Electrical troubleshooting and minor repairs
- Plumbing diagnostics and repairs
- HVAC system troubleshooting (non-licensed scope as applicable)
- Carpentry repairs, trim adjustment, and finish corrections
- Drywall patching, painting, and cosmetic repairs
- Adjustment or repair of doors, windows, cabinets, and fixtures
- Identification of construction-related defects requiring escalation to Construction teams
Performance Expectations
- Service work completed safely and in compliance with company standards
- Accurate diagnosis and effective resolution of service issues
- Professional customer interaction and confidentiality maintained at all times
- Timely completion of service requests with minimal rework
- Clear communication with management regarding unresolved or recurring issues
- Reliable attendance and on-call responsiveness when scheduled
Required Skills amp; Abilities
- Strong knowledge of residential building systems (electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry)
- Ability to work on roofs, in attics, and in crawl spaces of houses.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to assess issues and determine appropriate repairs or escalation
- Mechanical aptitude and proficiency with hand and power tools
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office or similar software
Education amp; Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- One of the following required:
- 4+ years of military experience in an electrical or mechanical field, or
- Completion of a technical training program in a maintenance or construction trade, or
- Completion of a recognized apprenticeship program, or
- 5+ years of progressively responsible experience in one or more construction or maintenance trades
- Valid driverโs license required to drive a company vehicle
Physical Requirements
- Ability to access and inspect all areas of residential structures
- Ability to perform physical repairs as needed
- Lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Work in varying weather conditions
Other Requirements
- Acceptable driving record to drive a company vehicle
