Maintenance Manager
Location: Springfield, MO
Department: Maintenance
Reports To: COO
Position Summary
Creative Modular Construction is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Manager to oversee the maintenance, repair, and continuous improvement of our facilities, production equipment, and building systems. This position is responsible for ensuring safe, efficient, and reliable operations while minimizing downtime and supporting our manufacturing teams.
The ideal candidate is an experienced maintenance professional with strong electrical knowledge who is comfortable leading maintenance operations while remaining actively involved in troubleshooting and repairs. This individual will manage preventive maintenance programs, oversee contractors, coordinate maintenance projects, and help drive continuous improvement throughout our facilities.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Leadership & Maintenance Operations
  • Lead and oversee all facility and equipment maintenance activities.

  • Develop, implement, and manage preventive and predictive maintenance programs.

  • Prioritize maintenance requests to minimize production downtime.

  • Maintain maintenance records, work orders, and equipment histories.

  • Coordinate and supervise outside contractors and service providers.

  • Assist with maintenance budgeting, planning, and capital improvement projects.

Electrical & Equipment Maintenance
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical systems, motors, panels, controls, lighting, and production equipment.

  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues.

  • Install and maintain facility and production equipment.

  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.

  • Support automation systems and production equipment as needed.

Facilities Management
  • Oversee the maintenance of buildings, offices, production areas, and company grounds.

  • Maintain HVAC, plumbing, compressed air, electrical distribution, lighting, and other building systems.

  • Coordinate inspections, preventive servicing, and facility upgrades.

  • Ensure production environments remain safe, clean, and operational.

Safety & Compliance
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and applicable building and electrical codes.

  • Promote workplace safety through inspections, corrective actions, and employee awareness.

  • Support emergency preparedness and facility safety initiatives.

  • Maintain all required maintenance and compliance documentation.

Continuous Improvement
  • Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability and operational efficiency.

  • Recommend facility improvements and equipment upgrades.

  • Implement cost-saving maintenance initiatives.

  • Work collaboratively with operations and production leadership to support company goals.

Qualifications
Required
High school diploma or GED.
Five (5) or more years of industrial, manufacturing, commercial, or construction maintenance experience.
Strong knowledge of electrical systems and troubleshooting.
Working knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, plumbing, HVAC, and facility systems.
Ability to read electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals
Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Valid driver's license.
Preferred
Previous maintenance leadership or supervisory experience.
Experience with PLC troubleshooting and automation systems.
Welding and fabrication experience.
OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.
Manufacturing or modular construction experience.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Strong leadership and decision-making skills.
Advanced electrical troubleshooting abilities.
Ability to prioritize multiple maintenance projects in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
Physical Requirements
Frequently lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
Stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, climb ladders, and work at varying heights.
Work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Safely operate hand tools, power tools, testing equipment, and maintenance machinery.
Availability to respond to emergency maintenance situations outside normal business hours when necessary.
