Project Manager - Data & Quality Engineering (QE)

Location: 100% Remote

Initial Duration: 5-Month Contract

Employment Type: W2 Consultant (Paid Weekly through TEKsystems)

Overview
  • TEKsystems is seeking a highly motivated Project Manager to lead the Data & Quality Engineering (QE) Workstream within a strategic Modern Test Environments Program.
  • This initiative is focused on building scalable database capabilities, automated test data services, and quality engineering solutions that support modern application testing and delivery.
  • This role is ideal for a technically savvy Project Manager with experience leading database, data platform, test data management, QA/QE, or data warehouse initiatives.
  • The successful candidate will partner with engineering teams to drive requirements, planning, dependency management, and execution across a complex enterprise transformation program.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead project management activities for the Data & Quality Engineering Workstream.
  • Partner with Database Engineering, Quality Engineering, application teams, and business stakeholders to gather and document requirements.
  • Coordinate database infrastructure, test data management, and quality engineering initiatives.
  • Drive planning and implementation of automated test data services and future-state testing capabilities.
  • Facilitate discovery sessions, technical workshops, and stakeholder meetings.
  • Identify and manage technical dependencies across data, testing, application, and analytics teams.
  • Assess impacts to reporting, analytics, and downstream data consumers.
  • Manage project plans, milestones, risks, issues, and stakeholder communications.
  • Drive execution and accountability across multiple technical teams and workstreams.
  • Provide ongoing status reporting, escalation management, and leadership updates.
Required Qualifications
  • 7+ years of Project Management experience supporting enterprise technology initiatives.
  • Experience leading projects involving:
    • Database Engineering
    • Test Data Management
    • Quality Engineering (QE) or QA
    • Enterprise Testing Platforms
    • Data Warehouses or Data Platforms
  • Strong technical project management skills with the ability to understand:
    • Database environments
    • Data flows and integrations
    • Testing requirements
    • Technical dependencies
    • SDLC and software testing practices
  • Experience coordinating software development and engineering teams.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated success driving complex programs, decisions, timelines, and deliverables to completion.
  • Experience managing risks, issues, and dependencies in Agile and hybrid Agile/Waterfall environments.
  • Experience with Azure DevOps (ADO) or similar project management tools.
  • Test Data Management experience.
  • Database infrastructure and database engineering project experience.
  • Quality Engineering (QE), QA, or enterprise testing platform experience.
  • Experience supporting analytics or data warehouse ecosystems.
  • Financial services, banking, or credit union experience.
  • Exposure to Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) initiatives.
  • Experience supporting enterprise technology transformation programs.

Pay and Benefits
