Job Description

We are seeking an experienced elevator maintenance and modernization technician with knowledge in both traction and hydraulic elevators. Attendance, punctuality, dependability, and commitment are important factors for this position.

The duties and responsibilities of this position may include, but are not limited to:

  • Troubleshooting elevator controllers independently
  • Reading and interpreting prints and wiring diagrams
  • Installing elevator equipment using both hand and power tools
  • Using diagnostic tools such as meters, laptops, handheld programming tools, etc.
  • Identifying controller and diagnostic problem indicators, interpreting problems and corrections through user manuals and technical support
  • Identifying safety problems and advising both the company and the building owner
  • Having working knowledge on both the older relay logic and new solid state systems
  • Being self-motivated and seeking continued professional growth
  • Communicating clearly with office staff and giving a status of work performed, using phones, technology, and written word
  • Having a valid driver’s license

Minimum Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as an elevator mechanic
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus
