Job description

On-Site role

Job Description:

  • As a Contractor on the Autonomous System Test Engineering team, you will support the data validation, reporting, and issue-tracking pipelines that enable our autonomous driving systems.
  • You will play a key role in ensuring data integrity and accelerating workflows across our testing and validation environments.
  • Specifically, this role focuses on the end-to-end testing, validation, and delivery pipeline for Client Mapping Updates.
  • You will bridge the gap between map data collection, software testing, and systems deployment by owning the weekly Client Mapping validation process, maintaining system readiness datasets, and leading cross-functional triage efforts to ensure our autonomous vehicles always operate on highly accurate, up-to-date mapping infrastructure.
  • The ideal candidate is a technically savvy, detail-oriented engineer or analyst who can seamlessly leverage Python scripting and modern AI productivity tools to streamline complex workflows and maintain data integrity at scale.
In this role, you will:
  • Lead Issue Triage & Coordination: Organize, facilitate, and drive weekly cross-functional engineering triage meetings. Track anomalies, implementation bugs, and data discrepancies within Client Mapping Updates from identification through to resolution.
  • Execute the Weekly Validation Process: Own and execute the end-to-end weekly data validation pipeline, verifying that Client Mapping Updates meet strict safety, quality, and system performance criteria before being deployed to the vehicle platform.
  • Manage System Readiness Datasets: Manage, audit, and update critical internal datasets used to evaluate software and Client Mapping deployment readiness, ensuring downstream engineering teams have accurate, high-fidelity data.
  • Develop Client Mapping Status & Quality Reporting: Monitor, analyze, and generate comprehensive progress and health reports tracking the coverage, metrics, and deployment status of Client Mapping Updates.
  • Track Project & Performance Metrics: Compile and distribute regular performance metrics and project status updates to ensure mapping milestones align seamlessly with broader autonomy software release timelines.
Qualifications:
  • Experience: 1-3+ years of experience in system test engineering support, project coordination, data operations, or a similar analytical framework (experience in Autonomous Vehicles, GIS, Robotics, or HD Mapping is highly preferred).
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with Python for data manipulation, log analysis, basic scripting, or the automation of data-tracking tasks.
  • AI & Productivity Tools: Hands-on experience leveraging AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor, or GitHub Copilot) to accelerate scripting, debugging, and data processing.
  • Process & Tooling: Strong track record of managing repeatable workflows with high attention to detail. Experience with issue reporting and documentation infrastructure (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Excel/Google Sheets, or SQL).
  • Communication: Excellent communication and organizational skills. Comfortable leading technical agendas, tracking down updates from engineering teams, and distilling complex tracking data into actionable reports.
  • Education: B.S. or equivalent practical experience in a technical, analytical, or operational STEM field.
