Days of Work: Monday - Friday 1st Shift

Skills and experience will be considered when determining wages.

We are willing to train the right candidate.


We've got a great opportunity for someone who loves to take things apart, address current or potential issues, and put it back together to be at full functionality. ย At Premier, this would entail the maintenance and repair of tooling for permanent mold production, including disassembly, cleaning, inspection and setup.


Duties and Overall Responsibilities

  • Mold preparation and maintenance
  • Perform general fabrication, repair or replacement of furnace tools, ladles, intermediate tubes and other production support equipment
  • Perform repair or minor modifications using machining operations and bench work on tools, dies, fixtures, jigs, etc. with the use of dimensional prints or models overseen by supervisorย 
  • Perform mold repair in foundry as needed
  • Metal fabrication
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Mechanically inclined
  • Auto mechanical experience is highly transferable
  • Willingness to learn and work in a hands-on environment
  • Basic experience or comfort using hand tools and power tools preferred
  • Ability to operate or learn to operate a forklift
  • Team oriented with strong focus on safety

Preferred (not required)

  • Welding, fabrication, machining or mechanical repair
  • Exposure to manufacturing, foundry or production environments
  • Basic mechanical knowledge or related training/education

Physical Requirements ย The physical requirements for this position require continuous standing and intermittent walking, bending, sitting, and lifting of parts that may at times be in excess of 50Ibs. ย Work may be performed in the foundry, where temperatures can reach 130 degrees at a machine - higher during summer months.
