HIL Specialist (hardware in loop)
Location: Irvine, CA
Duration: 6 + months

Skills
ย ย ย  Good experience in Automotive embedded system validation
ย ย ย  Experience in Hardware-In the-Loop-System
ย ย ย  Good programming skills in MATLAB Simulink, Python
ย ย ย  Ability to create, read and understand models developed in Simulink
ย ย ย  Experience using ControlDesk Next Generation, AutomationDesk and ConfigurationDesk software

ย ย ย  Good understanding of vehicle network protocols like CAN, LIN and FlexRay
ย ย ย  Must have experience in manual and automated vehicle diagnostics/functional validation, ISO 14229,

Roles and responsibilities

ย ย ย  Support the specification/requirements phase for defining Hardware in the Loop test systems
ย ย ย  Support and maintain the development of plant models used in the HIL System
ย ย ย  Coordinating the build of algorithm validation test equipment
ย ย ย  Design software verification test, for vehicles SW components, mainly on HIL environment
ย ย ย  Design and create automated testing methods
ย ย ย  Set up and execute validation testing on target controllers.
ย ย ย  Working closely with the algorithm, software, hardware, and calibration engineers to understand
ย ย ย  requirements
ย ย ย  Evaluate the results gathered by the test stand.
ย ย ย  Log potential software defects into issue tracking tool
