Job description

Join our fast-paced and passionate team at Monarch Quantum as a Production Operations Simulation and Modeling Intern. As we scale our production of laser light engines for quantum computers, you will be instrumental in building our foundation from the ground up. This is a dynamic, hands-on role for a self-starter who thrives in a fluid startup environment.
You will work closely with leadership to optimize our production floor layout and provide critical project coordination and technician support to ensure our mission and growth targets are met.
Key Responsibilities
  • Production Modeling: Assist in the design and modeling of production floor layouts to optimize workflow and efficiency for laser light engine assembly.
  • Project Coordination: Support project management tasks, including tracking execution schedules, maintaining data integrity, and ensuring clear communication across teams.
  • Technician Support: Provide hands-on assistance with technician tasks, including maintaining business records, reporting, and monitoring resource allocation.
  • Documentation: Maintain clear and well-structured documentation of operational workflows and compliance records.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work independently and in a team while over-communicating with managers and engineers to ensure accuracy of execution.

Requirements
Education
  • Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in data science, Economics, Industrial Engineering, or a related field (STEM background preferred).

Technical Skills
  • Proficiency in data visualization and modeling tools such as Tableau, Excel, or SQL.
  • Experience with Python or other programming languages for data analysis is a plus.

Professional Experience
  • Previous experience in operational management, administrative support, or coordination roles.
