Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Modeling & Simulation Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals within our Product Support group. This position will be located in Melbourne, FL.

In this role you will support analyses including: cost analysis (Development and Operations & Support), Readiness (Reliability & Maintainability (R&M) Improvement, Spares forecasting, Fleet Readiness Modeling); Obsolescence forecasting; Level of Repair Analysis (LORA); and spares modeling. Candidate will interface with other functional departments, including Air Vehicle, Avionics, Systems Engineering, R&M, Diminishing Material Shortages (DMS) team, Support Hardware, and supplier design engineers to collect data and strategize/provide solutions. You must possess strong communication and writing skills, as well as the ability to handle multiple tasks. Proficiency with Microsoft Tools is essential.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics discipline from an accredited university and 2 years of engineering experience OR Master's Degree in STEM and 0 years of engineering experience
  • Experience in basis statistical analyses.
  • Familiarity with other Product Support disciplines.
  • Must have an active US Government Secret clearance or higher (with a background investigation within the past 6 years or enrolled into Continuous Evaluation).
  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance, within a reasonable amount of time as determined by business needs.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in Sustainment Modeling, LORA and O&S Cost estimating.
  • Systems performance monitoring and analysis.
  • Experience with Python programming language.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Active, In scope DoD Top Secret or SCI clearance.
Primary Level Salary Range: $79,300.00 - $118,900.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
