Job description

New Home Sales Consultant

Cope Homes | Princeton & Nevada, Texas

Cope Homes is seeking an experienced New Home Sales Consultant to represent our new communities coming to Princeton and Nevada, Texas.

This is an opportunity for a motivated sales professional to guide buyers through the process of building and purchasing a new home—from the first model-home visit through contract, construction, and closing.

The ideal candidate is organized, responsive, confident with buyers and real estate professionals, and capable of managing a high volume of inquiries while delivering a thoughtful, professional customer experience.

Cope Homes offers a compensation structure designed to provide greater monthly income stability than is typical in the new-home sales industry, while still rewarding strong sales performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Welcome and professionally assist visitors at the model home.
  • Tour prospective buyers through the model home, available homesites, floor plans, design features, and community amenities.
  • Explain the Cope Homes building process, available options, pricing, timelines, and purchasing requirements.
  • Build strong relationships with prospective buyers, current homeowners, real estate agents, and referral partners.
  • Respond promptly and consistently to inbound leads through phone, email, text, and other communication channels.
  • Follow up with leads according to an organized, documented cadence.
  • Qualify prospective buyers based on their goals, timing, financing readiness, homesite needs, and budget.
  • Schedule and conduct buyer consultations and contract appointments.
  • Present homes and available opportunities accurately and persuasively.
  • Guide buyers through contracts, selections, construction milestones, building guidelines, and closing expectations.
  • Maintain accurate records, follow-up notes, and next steps in the company’s CRM or sales-tracking system.
  • Communicate with construction personnel and builders regarding home status, schedules, buyer questions, and project updates.
  • Coordinate effectively with the construction, design, mortgage, title, and administrative teams.
  • Develop relationships with local real estate agents and referral sources.
  • Address buyer questions and concerns promptly, professionally, and constructively.
  • Use approved marketing materials and sales strategies to generate interest and convert qualified prospects.
  • Meet established activity, appointment, customer-service, and sales goals.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in new-home sales is required.
  • Experience selling custom homes, production homes, residential real estate, or other high-consideration purchases is strongly preferred.
  • Ability to work regular hours at a model home, including weekends as required.
  • Punctual, dependable, organized, and responsive.
  • Strong verbal, written, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to explain complex information clearly to buyers who may be unfamiliar with the custom-home process.
  • Strong follow-up habits and the ability to manage multiple prospects at different stages of the sales cycle.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent time-management and organizational skills.
  • Comfortable discussing pricing, budgets, financing considerations, construction timelines, contracts, and buyer expectations.
  • Self-motivated and results-oriented, with a professional and customer-focused approach.
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office and customer relationship management or sales-tracking software.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • An active Texas real estate license is preferred, or the ability to obtain one through Cope Homes’ in-house brokerage, if applicable.

What Success Looks Like

Successful Sales Consultants at Cope Homes:

  • Respond quickly and consistently to every qualified lead.
  • Create a welcoming and professional model-home experience.
  • Convert inquiries into meaningful buyer consultations.
  • Build trust while clearly communicating the value of a Cope Homes home.
  • Keep prospects informed and engaged throughout the sales process.
  • Maintain accurate records and timely follow-up.
  • Work collaboratively with construction and operations teams.
  • Consistently meet or exceed established performance goals.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Compensation structure with greater monthly income (base) stability than is typical in new-home sales.
  • Additional performance-based earning opportunity (commission rate negotiable and based on experience).
  • Training on Cope Homes’ homes, features, systems, and sales process.
  • Opportunity to represent a growing custom-home builder in rapidly expanding North Texas markets.
  • Professional and collaborative work environment.

How to Apply

Please submit your résumé and a brief description of your new-home sales experience. Qualified candidates may be asked to participate in a practical sales exercise, including a model-home presentation, buyer consultation, or objection-handling scenario.

Cope Homes is an equal opportunity employer. Employment decisions are based on qualifications, performance, and business needs.
