Core Job Responsibilities:

The Model Cocktail Server will provide elegant, warm and responsive service to all guests while taking and serving food and beverage orders. The role will be accountable for financial transactions and effectively market their assigned venue during their shift.

Primary Job Duties: – Includes, but is not limited to:

  • Greet and welcome all guests in a professional manner.
  • Obtain beverage orders from guests and enter orders in point of sales system.
  • Serve alcoholic/non-alcoholic beverage(s) and food orders to guests.
  • Ensure that all orders are accurate and delivered to each table in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with bartenders and kitchen team members to ensure accuracy of order.
  • Maintain knowledge of house drinks and menu items.
  • Offer item suggestions by using suggestive selling techniques (e.g. daily beverage specials, cocktails/wines and after dinner beverages).
  • Ensure assigned areas are always clean and clutter free.
  • Ensure all ¡VIVA! core values and property and department standards are implemented and applied.
  • Obtain and maintain position-specific licensing.
  • Participate in in-house modeling programs, special casino events, banquet service functions, marketing campaigns and advertising and performs model/presenter tasks.
  • Assist in the development of promotional plans in order to increase business levels and sales.
  • Pose for pictures as requested by management, appear in uniform or designated (logo) apparel for promotional activities at or away from venue. Participate in marketing, publicity or media materials.
  • Maintain social platforms as indicated by management; post events, communications and participate in marketing campaigns via social media.
  • Ability to submit guests to the venues guest list, table reservations and focus on the development of personal clientele list.
  • Use personal device/ cellular phone for job related operational tasks, job duties, review company documents, etc.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • At least two years of previous experience as a Cocktail Server in a similar or related field.
  • At least six months of previous cash handling experience.
  • Strong knowledge of spirits, wine, champagne and mixed cocktails.
  • Working knowledge of Forbes and AAA standards.
  • Working knowledge of POS system experience.
  • Ability to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.
  • Ability to effectively communicate in English.
  • Polished appearance and demeanor.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to obtain & maintain full knowledge and understanding of company and department rules and regulations, policies and procedures.
  • At least 21 years of age.

Preferred:

  • Extensive knowledge of fine dining service procedures and functions.
  • Previous experience in a large, luxury resort setting.
