Infrastructure + Mobility Group Manager - PA - Canonsburg, PA

Transportation Engineering, Project Delivery, People Leadership 


Lead Pennsylvania Infrastructure + Mobility teams from Fisher's Canonsburg market, supporting Southwestern Pennsylvania transportation planning, roadway, bridge and highway design, PennDOT and PTC work, municipal infrastructure, client relationships, project delivery, and people leadership across regional transportation programs.


Lead project delivery, mentor Project Managers, manage select transportation projects, strengthen client relationships, and help Fisher grow a high-performing Infrastructure + Mobility group focused on quality, accountability, financial performance, and community-shaping transportation outcomes.


What You'll Do

  • Lead and grow a collaborative, high-performing Infrastructure + Mobility team aligned with Fisher values, design excellence, client service, and strong project delivery outcomes.
  • Provide hands-on leadership for Project Managers, supporting workload balance, professional development, accountability, engagement, and clear performance expectations.
  • Oversee transportation planning and design projects, ensuring project financials, staffing, schedules, scope, quality, priorities, and client expectations are actively managed.
  • Serve as a trusted client contact for public and private sector clients while supporting proposals, interviews, business planning, municipal approvals, and new work development.
  • Represent Fisher in professional organizations and community activities while strengthening market visibility, team morale, sustainable growth, and long-term client relationships.

Requirements

What We're Looking For

  • B.S. degree in Civil Engineering or related field required; Professional Engineering License (PE) required.
  • 15+ years of transportation, roadway, or highway engineering experience, including at least 5 years of project management experience.
  • Strong financial acumen with the ability to use dashboards, metrics, budgets, schedules, staffing plans, and data to drive accountability and results.
  • Familiarity with PennDOT or PTC design standards required; proficiency in MS Office required; MicroStation experience preferred.
  • Leadership, communication, client relationship, business development, collaboration, integrity, respect, active listening, sound judgment, adaptability, ownership, and continuous-improvement mindset.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience managing Project Managers, multidisciplinary transportation teams, and complex public-sector infrastructure programs across multiple locations or markets.
  • Ability to balance project delivery, people leadership, client service, financial performance, proposal strategy, and operational priorities in a growth-focused environment.
  • Comfort coaching staff, setting expectations, supporting career development, and building a team culture grounded in accountability, trust, mentorship, and engagement.

Compensation + Benefits

  • Salary range: $150,000-$191,000; actual compensation varies based on experience, qualifications, education, location, and other factors and excludes the value of benefits.
