Job description

DEFINITION:

The Sleep Lab Clinic Coordinator plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth daily operations of the Sleep Medicine clinic. Under the direction of the Sleep Lab Manager, this position performs a variety of clinical, clerical, and technical support duties to assist patients, clinical staff, and physicians. Responsibilities include patient registration, scheduling, billing, medical record management, and support for diagnostic sleep study procedures. The Coordinator acts as a liaison between patients, healthcare providers, and outside entities. This position also performs diagnostic and treatment exams utilized to evaluate various sleep disorders in adults and pediatric patients if applicable.

EDUCATION:

High school diploma or equivalent preferred

As required by the Oklahoma State Board of Medical Licensure and Supervision.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Background in customer service with impeccable phone etiquette. Medical office and billing experience is preferred. Must be able to work independently.Two years of college with a background in health sciences or current student of health sciences program desirable.Five years of polysomnography experience.Supervisor and/or management experience. Preference given to Registered Polysomnography Technician (RPSGT), Certified Polysomnography Technician (C-PSGT), CRT-SDS (certified respiratory therapist-sleep disorder specialty) or RRT-SDS (registered respiratory therapist-sleep disorder specialty.
