Their primary advantage is providing convenient, on-site support, saving customers the hassle of transporting products. Mobile service technicians typically bring the necessary tools and parts with them to complete most jobs during their visit.

Job description

REPORTS TO: Events, Travel, & Catering (ETC) ManagerTYPE: Part-Time AND Full-Time LOCATION: Lacey's Spring Headquarters (Hub) & Various Field Locations
SUMMARY: At Piper & Leaf Tea Co., you are the Front-Line of our Events, Travel, & Catering (ETC) operations. As the Event & Catering Ambassador, you are the critical link between our Piper & Leaf Tea Co. values and the local community. You take our craft on the road, leading our community outreach at farmers markets, weddings, and catering deliveries.
Your purpose is to "Serve the Joy" by ensuring that every mobile event is executed flawlessly, that our guests receive uncompromising artisanal quality, and that our company resources are managed on-site responsibly. You are entrusted with taking the supplies and logistical information provided by the ETC Manager and executing the plan in the field. Whether you are dispatching from HQ or traveling directly to an assignment, you act as a competent, engaging, and problem-solving representative of Piper & Leaf, aligning your daily execution with our commitment to joyful service.
The Event & Catering Ambassador will report directly to the ETC Manager and support Piper & Leaf's commitment to Serve the Joy.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Your mission is to execute with high energy, an eye for detail, and a drive for success. You perform the following duties with precision:
DRIVE FIELD OPERATIONS & LOGISTICS
  • Event Execution: You own the physical setup and tear-down of events. You expertly load and unload company vehicles, set up tables, coolers, and event materials, and ensure everything is safely broken down and packed away at the end of the shift.
  • Resource Management: You act as the steward of our mobile gear. You gather necessary supplies from HQ before the event, ensure everything is returned organized, and tackle the post-event cleanup (including washing dishes and sanitizing equipment).
  • Safe Transport: You navigate company vehicles safely to and from event locations, maintaining a clean driving record and treating our fleet with care.

MASTER THE CRAFT OF MOBILE SERVICE
  • Proprietary Execution: You make the actual tea drinks to precise Piper & Leaf specifications, adapting to mobile environments (tents, catering halls, outdoor fields) without ever compromising on quality or flavor.
  • Inventory Utilization: You efficiently use the ingredients and supplies provided by the ETC Manager, keeping your workspace clean, organized, and health-code compliant throughout the rush.

ELEVATE THE GUEST EXPERIENCE & OUTREACH
  • Community Connection: You are the energetic face of the brand. You lead our community outreach by cultivating meaningful, positive connections with customers, brides, vendors, and market organizers, drawing people in with your gregarious personality.
  • In-the-Moment Resolution: You handle the unpredictable nature of live events. If a customer has a complaint or a logistical hiccup occurs (e.g., bad weather, delayed timelines), you resolve it professionally, patiently, and promptly on the fly, acting as a competent representative of the company.

QUALIFICATIONS & SUCCESS PATTERNS: We are looking for a high-energy hospitality and responsible independence. Successful candidates demonstrate:
  • The Energy Generator: You have a magnetic, outgoing personality that naturally builds excitement around you. You thrive in fast-paced, social environments and easily interact with diverse groups of people.
  • The Adaptable Problem Solver: You are not intimidated by sudden changes. When the weather shifts or a logistical challenge arises, you think on your feet and adapt with minimal input or supervision.
  • The Responsible Road Warrior: You are highly reliable. You show up on time for early load-ins, handle company vehicles safely, and take personal accountability for the resources in your care.
  • The Process Obsessive: You care about the details, ensuring that the last drink poured at a bustling farmers market looks and tastes exactly like the first.

Education & Certification: * Must possess a valid Driver's License, a clean driving record, and meet the age/record requirements to be covered by Piper & Leaf's commercial auto insurance.
  • Familiarity with the hospitality, event, or food service industry is preferred.

Requirements
PHYSICAL DEMANDS & ENVIRONMENTAL EXPOSURE: To perform this job successfully, you must be able to withstand the physical realities of high-volume, mobile craft-production. Requirements are non-negotiable for safety and workflow.
  • Endurance & Mobility: Required to stand, walk, and hustle for long periods (entire shifts) on varying terrain (grass, pavement, event halls).
  • Heavy Lifting: Must be able to safely relocate loads up to 60 lbs independently. This involves pushing, pulling, lifting, or carrying heavy inventory (coolers, folding tables, liquid tea jugs, tents).
  • Navigating the Space: Frequent climbing in and out of high vehicles, ascending/descending stairs, and navigating crowded event spaces.
  • The Elements: Direct, daily exposure to outdoor environmental conditions. You must be able to work effectively and cheerfully in summer heat, humidity, wind, and cold weather.
  • Sensory Requirements: Must distinguish, with high accuracy, differences in intensity or quality of flavors and odors.
  • Environmental Hazards: Safely working around heated equipment, steam, hot wash water, and varying noise levels (loud bands, crowds).

AVAILABILITY REQUIREMENTS
  • Schedule: This role focuses heavily on "off" hours. You must have robust availability for weekends, late nights, and early mornings.
  • Adaptability: Flexibility to accept assignments that dispatch from our Lacey's Spring HQ or require direct travel from your home to the event site.
  • Engagement: Ability to attend and participate in required team meetings, huddles, and training sessions.

Benefits
BENEFITS & PERKS
  • Compensation: Starting at $12.00 / hour + event tips (based on experience and abilities).
  • Healthcare: Benefits package available (a la carte options).
  • Partner Perks: Access to Corporate Partnerships and merchandise.
  • Product Discounts: Generous discounts on our teas and products.
  • Time Off: Policies to support work-life balance.
