Responsibilities:

Provide professional nursing care including, but not limited to: wound, skin, and ostomy care; admission assessments and evaluations; IV infusions along with care and maintenance of peripheral IVs, PICC lines, CL, ML, and port-a-caths; other skilled nursing care as defined in the plan of care. Assess the patient's clinical needs upon admission and weekly; set goals; recommend appropriate nursing actions to meet those goals. Keep other licensed clinical professionals informed on items related to the patient's care. Monitor and track changes in the client/patient's condition and needs, and keeps the Director of Nursing and any other appropriate personnel informed.

Requirements:

  • Current unrestricted Texas Registered Nurse (RN) license, required
  • Current CPR/BLS Certification (in-person only), required
  • Negative TB skin test or chest x-ray within past year, required
  • Minimum one (1) year of documented experience in a home health agency, primary care clinic or health facility, preferred
  • Current and valid Texas Driver's License, required
  • Current and valid automobile insurance, required
  • Must be able to stand, walk, squat, bend, kneel, reach, twist, push and pull. Varied assistance is required depending on the mobility of the client. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
