Mobile Engineer Multi-Site Facilities

Location: Akron, OH

Skilled Trades Opportunity Mobile Engineer Role

We are seeking a hands-on, experienced Mobile Engineer to support multiple commercial facilities in the Akron, OH area. This is a great opportunity for a skilled trades professional who enjoys variety, independence, and working across multiple building systems in the field.

The Mobile Engineer is responsible for operating, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing facility equipment across mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and life safety systems. The ideal candidate brings strong technical expertise in one core trade and the ability to support multiple building systems.

What Youll Do
  • Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs across HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire/life safety, structural, and building systems

  • Travel between multiple facilities to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient building operations

  • Conduct preventative maintenance including inspections, cleaning, calibration, and component replacement

  • Monitor system performance, take readings, and make operational adjustments as needed

  • Support facility services including maintenance planning, parts usage, and inventory control

  • Work with and oversee contractor-performed maintenance, ensuring quality and cost effectiveness

  • Maintain safe work environments by following all safety procedures and identifying hazards proactively

  • Properly handle, store, and dispose of materials in accordance with safety standards

Requirements
  • 24 years of commercial or industrial building maintenance experience

  • Strong background in at least one core trade: HVAC, electrical, plumbing/piping, or central plant operations

  • Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, electrical, and HVAC system issues

  • EPA 608 Type II certification required (Universal preferred)

  • Valid drivers license required

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel

  • Ability to work independently across multiple job sites
