What does a Mobile Manager do?

A Mobile Manager oversees the development, deployment, and maintenance of mobile applications or mobile device operations within an organization. They coordinate teams of developers, designers, and QA specialists to ensure mobile projects meet business requirements and are delivered on time. Additionally, Mobile Managers are responsible for implementing mobile strategies, managing budgets, and ensuring the security and usability of mobile solutions. What are some common challenges Mobile Managers face when leading cross-functional app development teams?

Mobile Managers often encounter challenges in aligning diverse teams—such as developers, designers, QA specialists, and product owners—toward a shared vision while managing tight release schedules. Ensuring effective communication between these groups, especially when teams are distributed or working remotely, is key to preventing misunderstandings and delays. Proactively addressing these challenges helps foster a collaborative environment and drives successful project outcomes.

Senior Mobile Manager (Builder | Working Leader)

Salary: $95,000 - $125,000 plus a strong, performance-driven bonus structure

Territory: Chattanooga, TN | Atlanta, GA | Cartersville, GA | Smyrna, GA | Mariette, GA and surrounding areas

This Is Not a Maintenance Role. This Is a Build Role.

We just entered this market. There is no established operation waiting for you to manage. There is no playbook waiting for you to follow.

We are looking for a Senior Mobile Manager who knows how to build, lead, and execute. Someone who takes ownership, creates structure, develops people, and turns a new territory into a high-performing operation.

This is a working leadership role. During the early stages of building the market, you'll be expected to lead from the front by managing operations while also performing heavy-duty diesel repairs when business demands require it. As the region grows and additional technicians are hired, your primary focus will naturally transition to leadership, coaching, customer relationships, and operational excellence.

If you're looking for a predictable management position, this isn't it.

If you're ready to build something from the ground up and make a lasting impact, keep reading.

Who We Are

National Fleet Management is one of the fastest-growing heavy-duty mobile service companies in the Southeast. We operate more than 35 mobile service trucks across nine states, and we're continuing to grow.

We operate with discipline, accountability, and a commitment to doing things the right way every time.

We don't cut corners.
We don't make excuses.
We build teams that perform.

What You'll Do
  • Build, grow, and lead a new mobile service territory.

  • Recruit, hire, coach, and develop a team of up to 15 Mobile Diesel Technicians.

  • Build structure, accountability, and a high-performance culture.

  • Own daily operations, scheduling, routing, field execution, and customer support.

  • Drive Gross Profit per Technician, technician productivity, efficiency, and overall operational performance.

  • Build strong customer relationships and represent National Fleet Management throughout the territory.

  • Solve problems in real time while supporting technicians in the field.

  • Perform hands-on heavy-duty diesel diagnostics and repairs when operational needs require it during the market's growth phase.

  • Lead by example by working alongside your team and setting the standard for safety, quality, and customer service.

  • Partner with executive leadership to successfully grow the region.

What This Role Requires
  • Leadership experience in heavy-duty diesel maintenance, fleet service, or mobile operations.

  • Strong heavy-duty diesel diagnostic and repair experience.

  • Proven ability to build and develop high-performing teams.

  • A leader who isn't afraid to roll up their sleeves and lead from the front.

  • Strong understanding of DOT compliance, safety, and operational execution.

  • Experience managing KPIs, technician productivity, and profitability.

  • Excellent communication and customer relationship skills.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growing organization.

  • Willingness to travel and spend significant time in the field.

What Success Looks Like
  • You build a strong, accountable team.

  • The region becomes structured, efficient, and profitable.

  • Customers trust your team because of consistent service and responsiveness.

  • Technicians perform at a high level and are developed into future leaders.

  • You successfully transition the market from a startup operation into a scalable, high-performing business.

Compensation & Benefits
  • Base Salary: $95,000 - $125,000 plus a strong, performance-driven bonus structure.

  • Company-issued service vehicle and phone.

  • Health, Dental, and Vision Insurance.

  • 401(k) with company match and profit-sharing opportunities.

  • HSA and FSA plans available.

  • Paid Time Off and Paid Holidays.

The Bottom Line

This role takes ownership, grit, and hard work.

Building a new market isn't easy, and that's exactly why we're looking for someone who embraces the challenge. In the beginning, you'll be building the business, supporting customers, developing technicians, and occasionally turning a wrench when needed. As the operation grows, your role will evolve into leading a fully staffed, high-performing team.

If you're the type of leader who believes in earning respect by working alongside your team, taking ownership, and building something exceptional, we'd love to talk with you.
