Job Description: Glass America Auto Glass Technician Chattanooga, TN Auto Glass Technicians for Glass America replace broken or pitted windshields and window glass in motor vehicles. PRINCIPLE FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: *Including but not limited to: Installs auto glass and other auto glass products in-shop or on a mobile basis. Utilizes the proper tools and techniques to ensure efficient, timely, and quality installation service for Glass America customers.

Ensures required paperwork is completed and turned in to the appropriate person or location. Maintains a safe and acceptable driving record in accordance with company policy. May perform auto glass repairs as needed.

Utilizes the proper tools and techniques to ensure efficient, timely, and quality installation service for Glass America customers. Ensures required paperwork is completed and turned in to the appropriate person or location. Load glass in the truck as needed.

Immediately follow up with the Glass Manager on any problems that arise in the installation of the glass. Maintain high levels of quality control. Provide excellence in customer service.

Maintains a safe and acceptable driving record in accordance with company policy. Ensure that all needed equipment is operating properly. Immediately report any accident/incident to the Glass Manager.

Comply with all Company policies and procedures as outlined in the employee handbook. Maintain a good rapport with all supervisors and co-workers. EDUCATION/QUALIFICATION/EXPERIENCE: High School Diploma or GED preferred.

4-6 years of related work experience is required. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Position requires no supervision of staff. SKILLS/ABILITIES: Must possess a valid driver's license.

Must be at least 18 years of age. Must be able stand for long periods of time in the installation of glass. Must be able to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.

Must be able to use hands efficiently in handling glass. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds. Mechanical aptitude and the skill to operate hand and power tools and equipment Must be able to complete background check/MVR and drug screening process.
