About the Role

As an Install Apprentice at Clarks Heating & Cooling in Dickson, TN, you will play a vital role in supporting the installation of residential and light commercial heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems. You'll rotate through multiple departments—including the shop, rough-ins, and change-out crews—to develop a well-rounded understanding of HVAC installation. Your contributions will help ensure every installation is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards while delivering exceptional service to our customers.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Reliable transportation to and from work.
  • Ability to lift heavy equipment and materials safely.
  • Ability to work in attics, crawl spaces, rooftops, and various weather conditions.
  • Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn.
  • Must be dependable and able to work well as part of a team.
Responsibilities
  • Assist lead installers with residential and light commercial HVAC installations for both retrofit and new construction projects.
  • Help prepare and organize tools, equipment, and materials for daily installation jobs.
  • Support shop operations by maintaining inventory, organizing materials, and preparing equipment.
  • Rotate between the shop, rough-in crews, and change-out teams to gain hands-on experience in every aspect of HVAC installation.
  • Assist with testing and inspecting newly installed HVAC systems to ensure proper operation.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
  • Communicate professionally with team members and customers throughout the installation process.
  • Continue learning HVAC installation techniques, tools, and best practices through on-the-job training.
