Job description

Site Supervisor Residential Community | Mt. Pleasant, SC

Coastal Security Services, Inc. (CSSI) is hiring a Site Supervisor to lead security operations at a premier residential community in the Mt. Pleasant, SC area. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for managing a team of security officers, overseeing gate access control, conducting community patrols, and serving as the primary point of contact between our team and the community's property management and HOA board.


Schedule: Full-time. Primarily weekdays. Must be available to cover shifts on evenings and weekends as needed.


What You'll Do

- Supervise, train, and mentor a team of security officers assigned to the community

- Manage daily gate operations including resident and visitor access control, vehicle screening, and credential verification

- Conduct regular vehicle and foot patrols of the community, identifying and reporting safety or security concerns

- Create and manage officer schedules to ensure all posts are covered with zero gaps in service

- Serve as the on-site liaison with the HOA board, property management, and residents

- Respond to and manage security incidents, disturbances, and emergencies; complete detailed incident reports

- Maintain community rules and access policies professionally and consistently

- Conduct regular inspections of officer appearance, equipment, and post readiness

- Monitor and operate security technology including cameras, access control systems, and communication equipment

- Maintain accurate daily activity logs, shift reports, and visitor records

- Coordinate with local law enforcement and emergency services when required

- Ensure all officers under your supervision maintain current state licensing and required certifications


What We're Looking For

Required:

- Minimum 2 years of security experience, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or lead role

- Valid South Carolina SLED unarmed security license

- Strong leadership, communication, and conflict resolution skills

- Professional appearance and demeanor at all times

- Reliable transportation and valid driver's license

- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions

- Proficiency with basic computer systems and reporting software

- Must pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening

- Flexibility to cover evening and weekend shifts when needed

Preferred:

- Prior experience in residential community, HOA, or gated community security

- Military or law enforcement background

- CPR/First Aid/AED certification (CSSI provides training if needed)

- Familiarity with access control systems and visitor management software
