Vice President, Full-Stack Engineer

We're seeking a future team member for the role of Vice President, Full-Stack Engineer to join our Conventional Trust team. This role is located in Pittsburgh, PA.

In this role, you'll have the opportunity to impact on our organization in the following ways:

  • Lead the end-to-end design, development, and deployment of full-stack applications leveraging Java Spring Framework and Angular.
  • Lead the design of complex BPMN-based business processes/workflows using the Headless Camunda platform with Full Stack development Skills.
  • Partner closely with product owners, business analysts, and key stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable, high-quality technical solutions.
  • Establish and promote software engineering best practices, including code quality standards, automated testing, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Mentor and develop engineering teams, fostering a culture of ownership, accountability, technical excellence, and continuous learning.
  • Contribute to architectural discussions and drive the ongoing evolution and modernization of technology platforms.
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, technology risk standards, and internal control frameworks.
  • Champion the use of Windsurf and emerging AI technologies to improve engineering flow, shorten delivery cycles, and enhance client outcomes.
  • Collaborate effectively with global, cross-functional technology teams to deliver shared objectives and outcomes.
  • Present and demonstrate solutions to end users, stakeholders, and technology leadership to drive alignment and adoption.
  • Build and sustain strong, trusted relationships with team members and extended partners across the organization.

To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 5-9 years of experience in full stack software development required.
  • Strong proficiency in Core Java, Camunda BPM, Spring Framework, and Spring Boot for building microservices and RESTful APIs, along with Angular (15+), TypeScript, HTML, and CSS for front-end development.
  • Experience working with relational databases (Oracle and/or DB2) and NoSQL technologies.
  • Hands-on experience with distributed caching solutions such as Hazelcast or Redis.
  • Proficiency in at least one scripting language (e.g., Python, Perl, or Bash).
  • Experience with modern SDLC practices including TDD, JUnit testing, CI/CD using GitLab, and code quality enforcement via SonarQube.
  • Experience in performance profiling, including memory and CPU usage analysis, and tuning automation and testing tools.
  • Strong understanding of secure web protocols (HTTPS, SSL/TLS); familiarity with logging, metrics, and monitoring tools such as ELK Stack, AppDynamics, or Splunk is a plus.
  • Experience working in Agile development environments.
  • Working knowledge of Linux and Windows operating systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
