We are currently seeking applicants for the position ofPlanning & Field Engineerto join our fast-paced, dynamic team in Saint John, New Brunswick. This is a role that requires both office and field-based work scopes. You will work with a team to determine best methods and equipment for engineered lifts.ย 

The salary range for this role will be ($70,000-$100,000)

  • Engineering degree (Mechanical or Civil preferred)ย 

  • Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation in New Brunswickย 

  • Minimum 5 years of experience, preferably in construction, heavy lift, or field-based engineering environmentsย 

  • Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and lift planning softwareย 

  • Demonstrated ability to connect engineering design with field executionย 

  • Highly organized with strong attention to detailย 

  • Comfortable working both in the field and in a fast-paced office environmentย 

  • Strong communication skills across technical and operational teamsย 

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlinesย 

  • Valid Class 5 driver's license

  • Conduct on-site field assessments to evaluate lift conditions, access, ground-bearing requirements, and execution risksย 

  • Lead the development of engineered lift and transport plans using CAD-based planning toolsย 

  • Translate field conditions into practical, executable plans aligned with operational capabilitiesย 

  • Work closely with Operations, Project Teams, and field crews to plan, refine, and execute lift strategiesย 

  • Provide field engineering support during critical lifts, including troubleshooting and real-time adjustmentsย 

  • Communicate plans clearly to operators, supervisors, and customers to ensure safe and efficient executionย 

  • Perform peer reviews and provide guidance to Junior Engineers on lift planning and field considerationsย 

  • Stamp engineered lift plans as requiredย 

  • Identify opportunities to improve planning processes, field feedback loops, and execution efficiencyย 

  • Ensure adherence to Quality, Environmental, Health & Safety standardsย 

  • Travel throughout Atlantic Canada as required
