PRE-ENGINEERED METAL BUILDING (PEMB) SPECIALIST

Position Summary

Stages and erects prefabricated metal building packages for industrial and commercial projects. Installs insulation, cladding, roofing systems, and related components while working safely at heights.


Key Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret pre-engineered building drawings/blueprints
  • Plan sequencing and determine required materials
  • Prepare materials prior to assembly
  • Hoist and guide components using cranes or telehandlers; rig and move materials
  • Operate mobile elevated work platforms
  • Install fiberglass insulation, metal cladding, and standing seam roofs
  • Install insulated metal panels, windows, and passage doors
  • Assist with anchor bolt layout and placement as needed

Required Qualifications

  • 1+ year of PEMB installation experience
  • Dependable attendance and reliable transportation; travel up to 75 miles to job site
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and heavier loads with assistance; ability to perform strenuous labor
  • Familiarity with hand and power tools; ability to work independently
  • Valid driver's license
  • OSHA 10-hour Construction Card (training available)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Valid Drivers License (CDL-A Preferred)
  • Welding ability
  • Anchor bolt layout/placement experience


Work Environment / Physical Requirements

This position is primarily field-based and performed in outdoor and indoor construction environments. Work may involve exposure to varying weather conditions, loud noises, and heavy equipment. The role requires the ability to stand and walk for extended periods, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and perform manual tasks. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and heavier loads with assistance.
