Job description

Description

Loveland Innovations (LI) builds software that uses AI, automated drones, and mobile capture to deliver fast, accurate property inspections for the insurance, solar, and roofing industries. Our customers use our IMGING platform to digitize and analyze properties using smartphones and drones, providing measurements, AI damage detection, and reporting.

We are looking for an experienced mid-to-senior DevOps Engineer. This position is focused on building, operating, and improving our customer-facing AWS SaaS environment. You will work closely with our development team to streamline and optimize our deployment pipeline. You will report directly to the CTO; we need someone who can have real influence over how we build and run things.

This is a primarily in-person position at our office in Pleasant Grove. We have nice mountain views from our desks, walkable lunch options, and a smart group of people to work with. (Most of us are pretty nice...) We need someone who is OK being part of the on-call rotation... it isn't bad, our SaaS environment is modern, solid, we do our deploys and most maintenance non-disruptively during regular business hours. Help us keep it that way.

Responsibilities:

Design, build, and operate customer-facing and internal AWS environments, from inception through daily production support.

Partner closely with development teams to streamline and optimize our deployment pipeline and CI/CD workflows.

Maintain service reliability by monitoring availability, latency, and overall system health.

Use automation to evolve and scale systems sustainably, improve reliability and deployment velocity.

Select and implement DevOps tooling that reliably manages application and environment delivery.

Practice sustainable incident response through open, transparent, and blameless postmortems.

Provide on-call support for infrastructure emergencies and participate in occasional weekend maintenance windows.

Document processes clearly and collaborate closely with teammates.

Benefits:

Nine paid company holidays

Generous PTO allocation (20+ days)

401K after 90 days

In-office position, but we're flexible with occasional remote work

Medical (SelectHealth) & Dental (Pacific Life) - LI covers 80% of the premiums for employee & dependents

Vision

Short- and long-term disability

Life Insurance

Optional Pet Insurance

Requirements

  Required Qualifications:

Production AWS experience with core services: EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, EKS, and similar.

CI/CD pipeline management, Bitbucket Pipelines or equivalent (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, etc.).

Infrastructure-as-code experience with Terraform or a comparable tool.

Hands-on experience with Docker and container orchestration (Kubernetes, ECS).

Linux server administration, some Windows server exposure is a plus.

Scripting or programming ability, Python (preferred) or C, C++, Java, JavaScript.

Systematic problem-solving approach and clear, proactive communication.

Nice to Have:

BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.

Networking fundamentals: firewalls, VPN, Wi-Fi-and willingness to help out at the office.

Experience with Microsoft Exchange and Active Directory.
