POSITION PURPOSE

The primary purpose of the Part time Mobile Home Community Maintenance & Grounds Keeper is to maintain and enhance the overall appearance, cleanliness, and functionality of the mobile home community's outdoor spaces and common areas. As a vital member of the community management team, the Part time Grounds Keeper is responsible for ensuring that the property's exterior spaces are aesthetically pleasing, safe, and well-maintained, thereby contributing to the overall satisfaction and well-being of the residents and visitors.

Please note this is a seasonal position and will end at the end of summer

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES AS A Part time Mobile Home Community Maintenance & Grounds Keeper:

  • Primarily responsible for the daily upkeep of the grounds and appearance of the property; upkeep of community grounds and common areas, creating and maintaining curb appeal
  • Managing watering system to optimize turf conditions
  • Edging, blowing, mowing and snow blowing
  • Responsible for the Maintenance of Manufactured Homes and preparing them to be marketing them.
  • Blocking, leveling, setting and connecting utilities (excluding live wires or those required by a licensed professional)
  • Patrol community and physical site inspections while maintaining relationships with residents
  • Painting, general carpentry, light electrical and plumbing; unclogging drains, HVAC repair/replacement and minor roof repairs
  • A general knowledge of site management that includes customer service skills and daily operational knowledge is required.
  • Rehabbing of onsite or incoming homes.
  • And additional items as needed

SKILLS REQUIRED FOR A Part time Mobile Home Community Maintenance & Grounds Keeper:

  • Possess a valid driver's license.
  • Possess a high school diploma or GED.
  • Be proficient in the use of a computer.
  • Be able to deal with conflict and handle in a professional and calm manner.
  • Be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
  • Be able to bend over easily in order to repair main water lines and read meters
  • Be able to read and understand documents including user instructions, policy manual, checklists, and rental leases or other legal forms.
  • Successfully complete background check
