Job description

**Actively hiring Bilingual Nurse Practitioner for local healthcare facility.**
In this role you will work collaboratively with our physicians, staff, and patients to provide high-quality care in a dynamic and supportive environment.
You will be responsible for conducting patient assessments, diagnosing conditions, developing treatment plans, and providing ongoing care.
Bilingual in any of the following languages is a must: Spanish, Swahili, Somali, Kinyarwanda, Tigrinya, Dari, Pashto, Arabic, Farsi, French, Burmese, Karen, or Rohingya.
Competitive pay and a convenient Monday to Friday schedule with weekly pay.
Works under minimal supervision in accordance to department protocols. Initiative and independent judgement is needed for this role.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Conducts examinations of patients to obtain information about their physical conditions and provides treatment to patients by making tentative diagnoses and decisions following patients' examinations.
  • Interprets diagnostic test results for deviations from normal and prescribes therapy or medication with physician approval.
  • Obtains, compiles, and records patients' medical data, including health history, progress notes, and results of physical examination and administers or orders diagnostic tests, such as x-rays, electrocardiograms, and laboratory tests.
  • Counsels and instructs patients about prescribed therapeutic regimens, normal growth and development, family planning, emotional problems of daily living, and health maintenance.
  • Consults with supervising physicians, specialists, and other health professionals as appropriate.
  • Visits and observes patients, updates charts, orders therapy, and reports back to physician and may prescribe medication if protocol permits.
Experience and Qualifications:
  • Graduation from an accredited educational program for nurse practitioners. Must be licensed as a nurse practitioner by the State of Texas.
  • Knowledge of methods and procedures in the field of general medicine and of the principles of the development, implementation, and documentation of individualized care and treatment plans.
  • Ability to examine, diagnose, and treat physical or mental disorders to interpret laboratory analyses and x- rays, perform surgical procedures, communicate effectively, and supervise the work of others.
  • Skill in the care and treatment of patients, in the use of medical diagnostic and treatment tools and equipment, and in the operation of computers and applicable computer software.
