Job Summary
The Purchasing Manager is responsible for overseeing the procurement and inventory functions for the venue to ensure products and supplies are available to support daily operations and event execution. This position manages vendor relationships, purchasing processes, inventory controls, and cost management while ensuring product quality, operational efficiency, and compliance with company standards. The Purchasing Manager partners closely with culinary, warehouse, concessions, premium, and operations teams to maintain appropriate inventory levels and support financial objectives
Job Requirements
* Oversee all purchasing activities for food, beverage, and operational supplies to support daily operations and event execution
* Maintain appropriate inventory levels through forecasting, ordering, and inventory controls
* Develop and manage relationships with vendors to ensure quality products, competitive pricing, and timely deliveries
* Monitor purchasing budgets and identify opportunities to reduce costs while maintaining operational standards
* Conduct inventory audits, cycle counts, and month-end inventory processes to ensure accuracy
* Collaborate with culinary, warehouse, concessions, premium, and operations teams to support business needs
* Review purchasing reports and analyze inventory trends to improve operational efficiency
* Ensure compliance with company purchasing policies, food safety regulations, and sanitation standards
* Resolve product shortages, delivery discrepancies, and vendor-related issues in a timely manner
* Support financial goals through effective inventory management, waste reduction, and cost control initiatives
Qualifications
* 3+ years of purchasing, supply chain, inventory management, or hospitality management experience
* Experience managing purchasing operations in a high-volume food and beverage or hospitality environment
* Knowledge of procurement processes, inventory management systems, and purchasing best practices
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, and inventory management software
* Experience with vendor negotiations, purchasing contracts, and supplier relationship management
* Strong understanding of inventory controls, product rotation, and food safety standards
* Ability to analyze purchasing data, inventory trends, and financial reports
* Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Hospitality Management, or a related field preferred
