Job description

The Vermont Mountaineers are are one of thirteen teams in the New England Collegiate Baseball League (NECBL) and are looking to fill internships (unpaid) for the 2027 season that runs from June 1st- August 15th. Candidates must commit to stay for the entire season to be considered and have their own vehicle or be able to carpool with another intern. Housing will be provided by the team.
Description:
TrackMan leverages industry leading 3D doppler radar technology to capture the most comprehensive and accurate ball tracking data in the game. TrackMan data is used for player evaluation and development by all Major League teams in the US and the majority of teams in Japan and Korea, as well as top NCAA Division 1 programs. TrackMan is also used by MLB Advanced Media, as a ball tracking component of the revolutionary Statcast
Responsibilities:
  • Be able to set up cameras (6) around the stadium before the game.
  • Responsible for maintaining data on team computer and battery charge of all cameras
  • Upload film to the Synergy website every home game.
  • Be available in game to periodically check cameras are recording game footage
  • Responsible for setting up rosters and tagging information in TrackMan.
  • Log information for the entire game - monitoring the system and making any changes throughout the game (i.e. roster changes, defensive substitutions, etc.).
  • Assist in troubleshooting system issues with Trackman support, fixing any errors, and uploading the game to the TrackMan.
  • Maintain TrackMan equipment required for tagging
  • Support TrackMan data operations teams in ad-hoc data requests and evaluations.
  • Support Mountaineers coaching staff in baseball analytics capacity as requested

Qualifications:
  • Passion for baseball and data.
  • Computer skills to operate the system and/or troubleshoot systemic issues
  • Ability to focus and avoid distractions during game
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • A firm understanding of baseball is required. Firm understanding of baseball analytics a plus.
  • Candidates must be able to attend all home games and be able to work nights during the week and weekends associated with home games.

• This position will start in person this summer (June 1-August 15th.
