Job description

Title: Field Technician Trainee - Miura Boiler Trade Program

Reports to: Regional Maintenance Supervisor and others during training

Status: Full-time

Working Hours: Varies, based upon customer needs

Pay Information: $18.90 per hour to start while in training;

Final pay rate after 6 months of training between$30/hour and $34/hour, based on experience and education.

Next Session will start around October 2026

This position will require relocation based on business needs. May require up to 3 moves with in a 30 month period.

Purpose of position:

Work in Maintenance Operations as a steam system technician for Miura customers and Representatives within the United States and surrounding territories. Service, start-up, inspect, repair, and optimize Miuraโ€™s complete steam solutions. Provide an excellent customer experience by delivering Miuraโ€™s lifecycle partnership model of aftermarket support with predict-and-prevent maintenance. Interact positively and professionally with end users, the Rep network, and other Miura personnel to develop outstanding communication, collaboration, trust, and to protect the Miura brand.

The position will start with 6 months of intensive training as outlined below, then lead to placement at one of our Branch locations or Representativeโ€™s facilities across the U.S. Relocation is required twice during the first 30 months of the program and locations will be determined based on business need. After 30 months Miura will consider permanent location requests and accommodate as possible IF business needs can be aligned.

Trainees will be paid during the 6-month training period and related expenses will initially be covered by Miura and tracked accordingly. Provided the participant successfully completes the training program and remains in good standing for an additional 24 months of employment, no reimbursement for the program will be required.

MIURA BOILER TRADE PROGRAM OUTLINE

TRAINING PERIOD:

Months 1-3: โ€œOrientation and Initial Trainingโ€ โ€“ in Rockmart, GA at Miura Americaโ€™s headquarters and

factory.

Classroom (40% - in-person and online technical, product, and company training)

Production (30% - shadowing and assisting factory personnel and working in assembly and test-bays)

Field Work (30% - shadowing and assisting Southeast Branch personnel at customer sites)

Months 4-6: โ€œBranch Trainingโ€ โ€“ Location TBD - Participants will be assigned to one of Miura's branch locations across the United States for relocation. (Location to be ASSIGNED based on company needs.)

Field Work (80% - shadowing and assisting local Branch personnel at customer sites)

Classroom (20% - online and/or in-office technical, product, and company training)

INITIAL FIELD WORK:

Months 7-30: โ€œInitial Field Placement & Ongoing Trainingโ€ โ€“ Location TBD - Region/location to be

assigned by Miura based on company needs following successful completion of Training Period.

Field Work* (20% - shadowing and assisting local Miura Branches or independent Representatives with daily activities)

Field Work* (80% - working independently to accomplish daily activities)

*Field assignment may be at a Miura Branch OR as an outsourced position with local Miura Representative

FINAL FIELD PLACEMENT:

Months 31+: โ€œRegular full-time employment with Miuraโ€ โ€“ Location TBD - Location to be determined based on company need with consideration to employee preference.

Participant transitions from Trade Program Employee in Training to full-time regular employee with Miura. Will work independently on daily Branch or Representative activities and/or in other positions they are qualified for AND which may be available at that time.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Perform regular maintenance on boiler room equipment.
  2. Perform and report the results of water analysis at customer's site.
  3. Troubleshoot and repair boiler room equipment.
  4. Utilize water management, maintenance, and inspection reports.
  5. Create proposals for customer site improvements.
  6. Manage installation projects of boiler and water treatment equipment.
  7. Adhere to and support all of the company's Safety Health and Environmental program.
  8. Maintain parts and tool inventory on service vehicle.
  9. Perform other tasks as required.

Position Requirements (knowledge, skills and abilities required to perform satisfactorily in the position):

  • High school diploma/GED
  • Technical background with mechanical and electrical experience.
  • Engineering degree preferred.
  • Strong computer skills: proficiency at creating reports using Microsoft Office or equivalent is a must.
  • Strong communication skills; able to lead presentations and meetings by explaining key concepts concisely. Able to build and maintain customer trust.
  • Business oriented mindset and professional attitude.
  • Excellent work ethic is essential.
  • Ability to work well with clients and co-workers.
  • Ability to work both individually and as a team.
  • Hands-on work oriented.
  • Experience with hand tools.
  • Availability in flexible hours.
